Ctna. Why NotCattleytonia (Ctna.) Why Not is a hybrid of two species: Cattleya aurantiaca x Broughtonia sanguinea. The plants are very uniform in their growth and flowering habit. Plants get about 12" tall with heads of red flowers with yellow throats coming from a stem that is usually about 8-10" in length. Mature plants will bloom almost continuously as it puts out new growths at the same time it is flowering from a mature growth. The care for Ctna. Why Not is a bit easier that full-size Cattleyas as it doesn't take as much light to be happy, which makes it more suited for home growing as well a fun plant for the greenhouse.
